Gorillas are found in the dense forests of Bwindi in Southern Western Uganda and this is very accessible by daily scheduled flights from Entebbe Airport as you Explore Uganda . Its takes approximately 45 minutes flight to Kisoro Airstrip near Bwindi Forest.
Brief 3 Days Gorilla Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Hike to Mt. Mgahinga
We depart for the hike at 8am, accompanied by experienced guides. Here we shall enjoy amazing views of the virunga volcanoes, views of Bwindi Impenetrable forest, plus the amazing undulating landscape of Kisoro. Have lunch .in the afternoon we set off for the visit to the historical caves dinner and over night at your Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
We depart to the Gorilla Trekking briefing point as early as 7.00 am for the 8am briefing. After with your guides and parked lunched, head out to the jungles for the thrilling hike and encounter with the mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere between 2 to 8 hours but it’s worthy the experience. After the day’s gorilla encounter, return to the lodge for some rest. Overnight at your Lodge.
Day 3: Lake Mutanda Boat ride and Community Tour.
After breakfast, we visit and interact with the local batwa and bafumbira communities. This visit enables you get an insight of how these local residents live in this part of the world and how they perceive life, this information is quite enriching. We take a lunch break and head for the boat ride on lake mutanda , quite soothing and amazing views of the virungas. After we return to Kisoro
